Magus Publishing seeks to present, to highlight, to emphasize the Master Narrative at the core of ancestral Mythos. To this end, we select and present special editions of certain tractates, sagas, manuscripts and texts that we deem of fundamental initiatory importance.
Such a manuscript is Hrafnagaldur Óðins or Förspjallsljóð, which has such a fundamental mythic structure the pervades the entire Norse cosmology. It is ominous in tone, it is of the wyrd and fate of the Gods, their mission, their plight, the ordeals and unfolding of destiny. It is a truly pagan presencing of the ancestral understanding of world ages, of celestial battles and aeonic occult wars that are the secret workings of an exoteric history that hides a deeper reality.
We prefer this intimate style of small folio, a handmade, singular presentation free from the gloss of modern publication, the distraction of huge collections, or the blur of digital downloads. These are slim volumes to take into the forest, in solitary wanderings, to slip into a book as a surprise gift, a token of kindred spirits in this intiatory research of the Old Ways.
These are tales of magical warfare, assault sorcery and the wars of the Gods. They serve as oracles to our own affairs, giving discerning insights into the nature of reality, of the tragedy and hope of unseen forces who work through as proxies. Within these texts are hidden lore, alchemical and magical secrets that time can not erase.
